Shoulder joint loading in the high performance flat and kick tennis serves

The first 100% of the full text of this article appears below.

This paper provides detailed analysis of the kinetics of the shoulder joint during the performance of flat and kick serves. Although the flat serve has been analysed extensively, very few studies have looked at the mechanics of the kick serve. Information on the torque generated at the shoulder is important as it provides a better understanding of muscular activity, which could be use to evaluate the vulnerability to injury.
