Gavin Davis, MB.BS (Melbourne University), FRACS (Neurosurgery) underwent post fellowship training in peripheral nerve surgery at New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. His present clinical appointments include consultant neurosurgeon at Austin Hospital, Box Hill Hospital, Cabrini Hospital and Epworth Hospital. Non-clinical appointments include:

Member of the Medical Advisory Panel to the Professional Boxing and Combat Sports Board of Victoria; Member of the Clinical Outcomes Committee of Cabrini Hospital; Clinical Examiner to the Board of Basic Surgical Training, Royal Australasian College of Surgeons; Neurosurgical Representative of the Surgical Executive, Cabrini Hospital. Clinical research includes concussion in sport in childhood and sport related nerve injuries and their management.
