Ben Kibler is an orthopaedic surgeon. He is medical director of the Lexington Clinic Sports Medicine Center, Lexington, Kentucky, USA. He belongs to the following organisations: American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons; American Orthopedic Association; American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine; American College of Sports Medicine; American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons; Society for Tennis Medicine and Science; International Society for Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Sports Medicine. His clinical interests are: evaluation, surgical and non-surgical treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries to the knee, shoulder, elbow, and ankle; injury prevention by understanding the biomechanics underlying sports activity and devising preventive conditioning programmes. Research interests are: biomechanics of shoulder, elbow, and knee function and dysfunction; kinematics of the scapula in function and dysfunction; scientific basis of shoulder and elbow rehabilitation protocols.
