Håkan Alfredson
Håkan Alfredson is a sport fanatic who is married with two children. He has been chief doctor to a top-level Swedish ice hockey team for 8 years, and chief doctor to a Swedish national junior team for 4 years. He is a professor of sports medicine and an
orthopaedic surgeon, having a PhD in bone mass. His current research fields are chronic painful tendon conditions, especially the Achilles and patellar tendon, and treatment of cartilage injuries of the knee. He is the author of about 40 publications in scientific journals and several book chapters. He is a board member of the Swedish Sports Medicine Society.
