Dr Jiwu Chen, a Chinese orthopaedic surgeon, is very active in local and international societies of orthopaedic sports medicine. Since 2008, he has been committed to helping many patients through various online social media, including free online consultation platforms, instant messaging apps and short video platforms. Dr Chen was awarded China’s National Reputed Doctor Award in 2020 for his professional and voluntary service in sports medicine. He currently serves as the director of the Department of Sports Medicine, Shanghai General Hospital, and is a committee member of the Hip, Groin & Thigh and Shoulder Committees of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.
